How we work on new roof installation jobs
HRD is a family-run roofing firm with 10+ years' experience and full insurance. The same small team surveys, quotes and carries out the re-roof, so the person who looked at your roof is the person who answers your questions while the work is under way.
A replacement is only recommended when repair no longer makes sense — for example when the underlay has failed across the slope, many tiles or slates are delaminating, or the battens are rotten. If a targeted repair would do the job, we tell you so. During the strip we check the rafters and replace any unsound battens, then refit leadwork, ridges and hips so the new roof is finished as one system.
The site is cleared at the end of each day, old materials go in a skip, and at handover we walk the roof with you and pass over the written specification and photos of the stages you cannot see once the tiles are on.
